I am riding the Etape du Tour Act 2 this year, which is stage 16 of this year's Tour de France from Pau to Bagneres-de-Luchon in the Pyrenees http://www.letapedutour.com/ET2/us/the-race.html. It should take me about 10 hours to complete the ride, with 5,000m of climbing up mountains. Initially this was a personal challenge I set myself to get fit and test my ability however when I realised that I could also support my dear family friend Johnny, by raising awareness and money for a cause which is very close to his heart, I jumped at the chance.
